In case you've been asleep for the past 20 years, electronic games now represent the fastest growing sector of the entertainment industry. The latest sign of the times: MTV is launching a TV awards ceremony for the video game industry.
Also, in case you've missed it, the biggest news in the game sector at the moment is the release this week of Sims Online, the massive multiplayer version of The Sims, which is the biggest-selling game in history, played more than 50% by women. As I've said before, get ready for a new media kick in the pants from MMOGs in the next couple of years.
